Bro dog

Well my brother, Josh, made it home from Iraq last week! YEAH! We are all going to attempt to get together this weekend for a little welcome home party. Since the Dr ok'd it then that means Luke, Korbin and I will be making the trip to KC this weekend! Not only am I excited to see Josh, I am also excited to be out of town for almost 4 days and go furniture shopping at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Apparently they are having a huge sale this weekend and they will deliver it to Wichita at a later date. This will make moving very convienent.

On a different note, Korbin decided this morning that he wanted to watch Futurama all day. A little odd for a 2 year old I think. Oh well at least it is a cartoon.

Well it was a pretty eventful week!! On Tuesday, Luke was welding a pipe on our hot water heater and burnt his hand. The blister was the size of a quarter! He seems to be fine now. Then today, Korbin and I were at the library and he got his arm stuck in the automatic door. How? I don't know but he left pretty much unscathed. The big news of the week is that our cousins, Staci and Orlando, got there baby boy on Wednesday!! He was born around 2 in the afternoon and they were able to bring him home yesterday! I can't wait to see him tomorrow at the graduation party. Other than those little things, not a lot has been going on. It may not seem like a lot to others but it was a pretty busy week for me.

An eventful weekend.

Well it sure has been an eventful weekend. On Friday my brother, Chris and his fiance, Carol, came into town and took Korbin and Abby to the zoo. It was so nice to have an afternoon to myself! I made a trip to Wal-mart and then finished sewing the bassinet bumper for Emma. I know I had all this time to myself and I chose to use it doing chores. Oh well. Then Friday night my mom came into town and she took us all to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. I love Outback! Thanks Mom!
Saturday morning she brought the truck over and we cleaned out the storage unit. I forgot how much crap we had in there. Even after telling Luke we should wait to have a garage sale until after we move, I may have to change my mind and have one before. Does anyone need or want a fouton?
We then made a trip to The Donut Whole, http://www.thedonutwhole.com/, which I love!! and had a great and healthy lunch. Well I am preggo and I really wanted donuts for lunch! Then it was off to do some shopping. We saw Staci and Orlando at Babies-R-Us. They were getting some ideas for the little boy they may be adopting in the next few weeks. I really pray that it works out for them because if anyone deserves a baby it is them.
After spending an hour (max) at home, we headed out to Burgers and Beers. In case you didn't know, I work for Genesis Health Clubs. Every year on the day of the Riverfest fireworks, we host a cookout at Seneca and Douglas for the members. I agreed to work it again this year and I can honestly say that I don't know if I will do it again. This year there were no inflatables for the kids to enjoy so they had to play with chalk, hula-hoops and face painting. This is not something that is appropriate for every age level. It was also raining to make matters worse and we were not under a cover. So I got my t-shirt, ate my burger and then we came home.
Needless to say, my feet were huge by the time I got home yesterday. That combined with the fact that I was contracting pretty bad from all the walking led my night to be uncomfortable. So, today we are off to church for Graduation sunday and to vote on the new pastor and then I think we may just lounge around until we take Ruth and Steve out for their 30th anniversary tonight! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

We had a OBGYN appt. on Monday and Korbin decided he wanted to participate. I thought it was hysterical and hope you enjoy it.
He wanted to Dr to listen to the baby in his tummy.

They say hubbies gain preggo weight but do kids too?

Back to normal

Well now that I have made a fool of myself, I think it is time to revisit my normal life.

Comment time

Well first off, this is supposed to be a safe place where I can talk about whatever I want in my life. Second, I feel that if you don't know Luke and I then why are you reading our blog?

I recently had to go in and delete a post because someone (who doesn't know us) proceeded to belittle a subject I was feeling passionate about. I may not be a writer but frankly, this is a blog! When people are passionate about things, somethimes, they have a tendancy to write sentances that do not make sense. Thank you for the English lesson, now please go back to whatever you were doing before; surfing the internet and reading peoples' family blogs whom you don't know. That is kinda creepy.

Also, Unless you are a Structural Engineer, frankly, I don't care what your opinion is about the foundation of my house. We had one come out (OMG we paid him and everything!) and he told us there was nothing wrong with the house. I am sorry if we were trying to be cautious in the sale of our home. Well now that I have sunk down to your level, I will finish with saying I did not vote for Obama. Please have a wonderful day!

Mother's Day 2010

Well Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Even if you don't have any biological children I wish you the greatest day possible!

I just wanted to let everyone know about what "my boys" did for me on mother's day! This morning we got up and went to Granite City Brewery for the Mother's Day brunch. It was amazing! Prime Rib, eggs in every way, fruit, pastries, salmon, potatoes in every way, $8 all you can drink mimossas (which I couldn't participate in but could still appreciate the deal) and the most amazing cinnamon rolls I have ever put in my mouth. To make the situation even better, we showed our Riverfest button and got 30% off the ticket!! It was the perfect start to the day.

After brunch, we continued on to church where we heard a great sermon and Korbin made me the cutest handprint heart. It tugged on my heartstrings a little and I immediately put it in his baby book. While we are on the subject of presents, I would like to give a little credit to the guys for coming up with a GREAT Mother's Day gift. Apparently, when I was garage saleling a couple of weeks ago, Luke and Korbin snuck out and had their pictures taken! I will be uploading them to the computer in the near future for everyone's enjoyment. Not to mention the gorgeous turquoise dragonfly necklace they picked out for me as well.

After all the running around of this morning, we are spending a relaxing afternoon doing absolutley squat. I may work on baby announcements or I may just surf the web. Either way I plan on not getting off the couch until at least 6.

So in conclusion, I just wanted the wonderful men in my life to know:

I love you and thank you for everything you do.
