Election 2012

I love the idea that I can follow the election results online (without commentary) while surfing pintrest and listening to Pandora. Just FYI, living in America rocks, whomever gets elected.

All Hallow's Eve

Well Halloween is finally over. It always makes me a little sad because I love seeing the kids' faces when they get to trick-or-treat. And lets be honest, I love to decorate for Halloween!

Now on to the costumes!

So this year Luke and I went as Camp Crystal Lake counselors and it was great! We have never used blood in our cosutmes before. (Yes I know my husbands legs are very white. But seriously... why wouldn't they be? He doesn't make it a habit to wear short shorts!)

Korbin decided he wanted to go through my Mother-in-laws old costume box and he found the dinosaur she had made for my husband when he was 5. He was so excited to wear it!

Since we are going to Disney World in a few weeks, I have been stocking up on princess dresses so I don't have to spend top dollar at the park. Back in May, I went with my Mom, Grandmother and Sister-in-law to Brownsville TX to visit my cousin. While we were there, we hit up the "mexican" flea market (I don't call it that, my cousin does!), and found a wonderful lady who handmade the most amazing princess dresses. They were only $20 a piece! So we bought Minnie Mouse, Cinderella, Belle and Snow White. Because Emma is obsessed with Minnie Mouse right now, we decided to double the dress and use it for Halloween!

Happy Halloween 2012!

The dog days

Did you miss me? I know I sure missed you. I find that the summer months are usually quite a bit busier than the winter months, and therefore, I do not have time to spend in cyperspace (if you will). Right before I started writing this blog post, I checked my facebook and I had not been on in 11 days! And in this day in age that is unheard of. So, here is our summer in a nutshell (or a barage of pictures).

Well it looks like it is only going to let me post these pictures for now. I will do some adjusting and post again tomorrow. I have to get caught up because Korbin's first day of school in Wednesday!! YIKES!

A Note Before Moving Day

Well moving day is a week away! I can't believe it is coming so fast. Not to mention that fact that I went to the Dr yesterday and he said I was dilated to a 2 and he could feel the baby's head! Emma, please, please wait until after we move to make an appearance.

As we have started to pack up the house, it is beginning to feel empty. I am sad knowing that I will never again see this house in its full glory. We packed up most of Korbin's room the other day (he helped) and the next morning he woke up and said "Mommy, where are all my toys?" Needless to say, I think he will be very excited to play with them again once we get to the new house. It will be like Christmas morning! The only big room we have left to pack is the kitchen and then we will be ready for the truck to come and take it all away.

The buyers had their walkthrough of the house yesterday and they seem to be happy with all the the we fixed. Which is good because I didn't want to have to fix anything the week before we move. We have our walkthrough of the new house tomorrow and I am hoping that goes well.

We had VBS this week and it seems to be going off without a hitch! (knock on wood). I haven't danced to baby out yet though yesterday I had a Dr's appointment so I wasn't there and everyone assumed I had gone into labor. Not yet ladies! Never fear!! I don't know how I would have gotten through this week withough Katie and Ben helping out so thank you guys.

Korbin also had his first day of Mom's Day Out this week. He did great! I thouroughly enjoyed it because I got a lot done! I got Luke's father's day present, got a thank you gift for Ben and Katie, returned my library books, looked for a stamp for the baby announcements and browsed around Target. It is amazing how fast you can get in and out of a store when you don't have a kid in tow!

Well, that seems to be all for now. I probably won't get to update until after the move so wish us luck.
